State Farm Hikes Homeowner Policy Rates, Deductibles in Texas

A new insurance commissioner has allowed State Farm to charge higher rates and deductibles in Texas. State Farm Insurance on Dec. 1 was authorized to switch many of its 1.2 million homeowner policies to a higher deductible. Farmers Insurance to Raise Rates 10% for Half its Texas Homeowners

Farmers Insurance indicated Friday that it will raise homeowner premiums by nearly 10 percent next year for about half of its customers in North Texas and across the state. Texas wildfires: More than 1,000 homes lost, thousands evacuated

The wildfires in Texas continue to roar out of control, destroying more than 1,000 homes.
