Hurricane season is approaching! After Rita and Ike we can't take any chance. Your home insurance does NOT cover flood. No home insurance in the country covers flood coverage. Just cause we are not in hurricane season doesn't mean you can't flood. If a heavy April rain, like we just had, hits your area you could be at risk. Also, if you are not in a high risk flood zone doesn't mean you can't flood.
The easiest way to describe the difference in what home and flood covers is if water falls and causes damage that will be under your home policy. Once the water hits the ground and starts to rise that will be covered by flood insurance.
Do you have adequate coverage? We have a specific formula to calculate how much your home and personal property should be covered for. Do you have an elevation certificate that gives you substantial dicounts? Are you covered by the most reputable company in the country? Call us today and we will check for all discounts and best rates and coverages or visit or flood quote request page by clicking here.
