I don't mind the government spending money. I just want them to do it wisely. This may not solve all the problems but it would help.
- All politicians should work for free. That would save a ton. If you love this country so much you should want to do it for free. Most politicians are already rich anyways.
- All bills should not be passed one by one. Many bills are passed by packaging bills. The theory is it makes Washington more efficient. Really what it does is create arm twisting, pork barrel spending. Basically, what happens is one representative says "I will vote for your bill if you vote for mine". While this happens it creates lots of spending for projects that are not properly monitored. Every bill should be passed on its own merits one-by-one. This will also slow Washington spending. And all bills should have to pass with a 70% vote, just like when you where in school. If it is good enough to pass, then it's probably worth spending on.
